05:19 pm - Dawn with the heron, October 20

Trust me, we've seen thousands of them, there is no such thing as a bad dawn. Still, in purely aesthetic terms, in terms of taking and sharing some photos, we were hoping for higher and better defined clouds.
first hazy sun the master heron gives no shit

Another supershot! Master heron (and his photographer) really knows haon not to give shit. :))) You are very kind, Sir. Thank you so much! Just stunning! That third shot gives me goosebumps... Thank you so much! Do you mean the 3rd or the 4th? The 3rd is this: The 4th is the 1st one not under the cut. Yes - that one. Love the echoes of grey heron / grey stone... Thank you, much appreciated (trying to decide on a sequence with a strong focal point and surrounding pics to put it in context). I'm always in awe of your photos! I love your sunrise/sunset photos, but these with the heron . . . I feel a mysterious/eerie, serene calmness, when I look at them. Thank you... Hearing such a thing from mother earth makes me blush.
By the way, do you have your favorite? Awww . . . thanks.
Yes, I do. . . . the third one up from the bottom is my favorite. And my second favorite is the one right above it. What a wonderful sentinel. You know, they seem to be very territorial. I see herons at the particular regions of the beach, there are almost always there, at almost exactly the same spots. And I saw (I presume) this one already several times, always guarding this jetty. |
